Walleye  fishing continues to be very good some days and slow on others.

Perch are being caught but not in big numbers.

Tullibe's are being caught off the flats in deep water.

Ice conditions are now 19 to 20 plus inches we have all our roads open to the Mud Flats and the shore line rocks and bays.

I checked ice again this afternoon as I expected it gained very little in thickness. Close to shore and out a few hundred yards it was 14 inches. The next half of a mile there were big areas of 11 inch ice with some 12 inch ice. I then went out to the flats and checked where there was snow and found the majority of the ice to be 12 inches.

While I was out on the flats I talked to a couple of fishermen who told me they had found some 9 inch ice and slush on some of the other flats. This amount of ice is safe for four wheelers and snowmobiles but is in no way safe for a wide road with truck and wheel house traffic.

With more snow forecast for this weekend and midweek and temperatures in the thirty's the ice is not going to get any thicker this week.

Fishing has been up and down real good some days poor on others. We checked ice yesterday and it has not changed since last week. A lot of 11 and 11 1/2 inch ice some 12 also some 7 to 19 inch ice. Some people are driving trucks on the lake but it is not safe for them. We are only allowing four wheelers and snowmobiles out of our place.

Please don't trust people's word saying it's safe to drive out on the main lake. It has been check and is not 14 -16inches like people have claimed. We want to keep everyone safe. Please do not drive out.
