Fishing has been slow with the weather these past two weeks. People reporting going out yesterday, marking several fish just not getting many to bite. Red Yero's have been working the best.

Reports of 24 inches of good ice

People reporting an average of 18 - 20 inches of good ice around both West and East.

The bite has been slow and light. Crappie fishermen have been using spring bobbers and

tungsten jigs.

Walleye fishing has been pretty slow as well with the change in temp.

The Crappie and Walleye bight has been good this week on West Rush.

People reporting anywhere from 12 - 14 inches of ice.

With some other reports of open water around Crane Island so be very Cautious!

Both East and West are averaging 8 - 12 inches of ice. Maybe a little less in some areas so be cautious.

There's also a decent amount of slush on top of the ice.

Crappies are sitting in 30 - 35 ft

Walleye fish structures

Shallow in the AM and 15ft in the PM

West Rush Lake is reporting anywhere from 9 to 11 inches of ice. Along with 8 inches of snow and slush on top of the ice. Please plan for it.

East Rush Lake is reporting around 11 inches of ice throughout. With around the same amount of slush and snow.

The last two day have been slow but hoping to pick up this weekend with the pressure change.

Crappies can be found in the 30 - 40ft range. Anything from minnows, waxies or plastics.

Walleye are usually found in the 15 - 20ft range.
